Account Director

Goodbeast is looking for a full-time Account Director is responsible for overseeing a team of staff who manages the day-to-day administration of our experiential campaigns, marketing and advertising initiatives for an assigned client.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor client business daily/weekly to ensure strategy & metrics are successful
  • Develop strong relationships with senior level Client(s) responsible for development of experiential programs establishing regular communication to ensure expectations are met
  • Anticipate Client needs, keeping the agency in the position of leading rather than following
  • Counsel with senior level Client(s) on any potential changes
  • Keep Agency management informed of status of Client relations, including personnel changes and issues pertaining to Agency performance
  • Ensure that clients understand Agency procedures/systems. Obtain clear direction before Agency takes action
  • Initiate and guide the development of annual strategic marketing plans
  • Create an atmosphere that demands a business-building approach to Client’s business.
  • Utilize Agency resources to develop plans to grow business
  • Ensure that account supervisors, account executives and project managers provide all appropriate information and direction for development of accurate briefs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience.
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or relevant, equivalent experience.
  • A strong account management background, including past experience managing client accounts and supervising account teams

Project Manager

Goodbeast is seeking a part-time digital manager to join our fast-growing team. This position will produce small- to large-scale projects, including e-commerce platforms, mobile apps, content management systems, user experience design, landing pages, social campaigns, and digital marketing campaigns.

This is a part-time position, 25-30 hours per week for the first three months, potentially converting to 40 hours per week after that. This is a 100% remote position, although occasional meetings in downtown DC will be required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and manage the scope, schedule, and budget for digital assignments.
  • Brief the team on assignments and remove obstacles to success.
  • Liaison with third-party media vendors.
  • Traffic digital orders between the team and third-party vendors.
  • Assist in digital production as necessary, including proofing.
  • Develop and maintain campaign calendars.
  • Publish regular status reports.
  • Manage team assignments.

Experience Designer

Goodbeast is seeking a part-time Experience Designer (15-20 hours) to join our team. This position will be responsible for prototyping and developing online and offline experiences in a variety of mediums, from digital to real-world to virtual. Our ideal candidate delivers high-quality consumer-focused experiences that effectively balance strategy, design, and technology.

This is a fully remote position. A portfolio is required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the motivations and goals of end-users through research and interaction.
  • Framing and distilling problems into clear areas of exploration.
  • Participating in and facilitating brainstorming exercises. -Prototyping and exploring how ideas best work with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Creating tests for our ideas and prototypes using online tools to judge efficacy.
  • Work with developers and other technologists to help translate the vision of ideas into working systems.
  • Improving existing experiences through testing, analysis, and prototyping.

Creative Technologist

Goodbeast is seeking a full-time Technical Lead\ Senior Developer for creative technology and web application development teams.

This is a fully remote position with occasional visits to the office in either Portland, OR, or Washington, D.C., and client sites (less than 10% travel). The ideal candidate will be located in either the Washington, DC, or Portland, Oregon metropolitan areas.

A portfolio is required.

This person will be responsible for directing creative technology engagements both on- and off-line, including: oversee the technical aspects of a software development, make architectural and design decisions, guide team members in technical matters, and supervise software releases and physical installations. One minute you’ll be overseeing the launch of a globally-played mobile game, the next you’re prototyping an IoT control board, and then you’re discussing advanced front-end animation techniques with a graphic designer.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading an interdisciplinary team to create exceptional technical work on- and offline.
  • Exploring ideas as part of a creative team and testing the feasibility of those ideas by leading proof-of-concept and prototyping sessions.
  • Designing the technical architectures for projects and setting up projects for developers, including systems to assure code quality (linters, automated tests, etc) in a variety of environments.
  • Troubleshooting sticky problems and helping developers understand both what to do and how to troubleshoot.
  • Implementing and monitoring effective QC processes to assure deliverables meet specifications and our standards.
  • Leading on-site installations, including providing technical guidance for vendors and working with project managers and producers to assure work is done correctly.
  • Manage all technical aspects of software releases.
  • Explaining technical problems to less technical colleagues.

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of five year's experience working primarily in Javascript, HTML and CSS.
  • Proficiency in open-source flavors of SQL - mysql, mariadb, postgresql, etc.
  • Proficiency in a server side programming language, such as Node.js, Python, Java or Ruby.
  • Proficiency in a microcontroller programming language/environment, such as C/C++, Lua, MicroPython, Arduino, or an equivalent.
  • Experience with creative coding tools (Max/MSP, PureData, Processing/P5.js, Vuo, TouchDesigner, OpenFrameworks, Cinder, etc).
  • Knowledge of digital electronics and hole-through soldering skills.
